Been a super busy but great week: tons of coaching, good times and fun activities.
This post will help people who are teachers or who want to be more effective in training their organizations in their network marketing business.
If you want to be an MLM leader, you need to learn how to teach. Here are some helpful tips on how to train and teach your downlines.
Platinum Coaching
For the first time I have launched my top level Platinum Coaching Program where motivated network marketers get to learn from Scott McGee and me for 7 days.
They peek over our shoulders every day and watch us work.
They watch us prospect, follow up, create online content, write our blogs, manage our websites, setup our auto responders, etc.
We also go over the 5 Fundamentals of Network Marketing and also Internet Marketing strategies. Scott also spends a lot of 1 on 1 time helping people set up their sites and provide analysis on areas of improvement in their overall online marketing strategies.
The coaching is effective because it is informal. It is not classroom style, but instead, you learn through modeling and by having fun!
Best Way to Teach
The best way to teach is modeling (watching someone else do something).
Just think back to how you learned to do your job. Did you read a manual or sit in a classroom, or did you watch your supervisor do it and then you copied him or her?
While you may have had to sit through a classroom setting to get certified, the best way to learn the actual skills is by watching and copying.
It is the same with network marketing. If you want your downlines to learn how to prospect, the best thing to do is to prospect in FRONT of them. Have them watch you do it.
Like they say, “Monkey see, monkey do.”
Best Way to Inspire
Another thing to think back to is when were you the most motivated or inspired in life?
Were you sitting in a training session?
or was it during a 1 on 1 moment with someone you looked up to?
Whether it was in school or in business, all of my biggest turning points came after I had a 1 on 1 session with a teacher or a mentor.
Often these sessions were unplanned and informal. They came from simply hanging out, or a conversation in a car ride, or at a meal. Informal settings like these are when people are most relaxed and are most open to sharing and learning.
And most importantly… it has to be FUN!
If it is not fun, people get bored and stop learning. You must create a fun environment.
So if you want to inspire your downline, take them out and do something fun. And while you are having fun, you can share and motivate them.
Good Times from Our Platinum Coaching
Here are some highlights of the past week:
Both Scott McGee and I had the opportunity to teach at The Movement. To watch a recording of the training, click here.
The Movement is an outstanding network marketing organization in Long Beach, California that is led by Helen Yoshihara and Soomin Kim.
Next Up: International Convention!
Today is the last day of our Platinum Coaching Program, and now we are all getting ready to go to Salt Lake City and attend our International Convention.
If you are going to Convention, make sure you maximize the experience!
Sincerely,
Simon
