Nancy On – 5 Qualities of a Successful Leader

Introducing Nancy On

I want to introduce to you Nancy On from San Jose, California. She is a member of my Advanced Diamond Mastermind Coaching group.

I am super proud of her because I have seen her grow tremendously in just the short time that I have been working with her.

Nancy approached me less than 3 months ago, and asked me to help her create an online presence for her million-dollar network marketing business.

Nancy is already very successful in her MLM and is a Diamond Director and is the leader of the dynamic team, Era Entrepreneurs, but felt that having a professional website would take her business to even higher levels.

I started teaching online marketing basics and also some simple next steps on creating valuable content (e.g. writing a blog) that would help her attract prospects.

In less than 3 months, Nancy went from barely having a website to having a website with a consistent blog (www.nancyon.com) that has given her positive results already!

5 Qualities of a Successful Person

Nancy’s progress is not surprising because she demonstrates 5 common qualities that I find in all successful people. It doesn’t matter what industry or career you are in, these 5 traits are consistently present in successful people.

1) Always Looking to Be Better

As a Diamond Director, Nancy was already successful in network marketing, but she wanted to be even better. Champions never rest on their laurels. They invest in self-development and consistently train to repeat as champions.

2) Proactive

Successful leaders like Nancy don’t let success happen by chance or luck. They take a proactive approach to learning and seizing opportunities. Nancy just contacted me out of the blue one day on Facebook and asked me for help. No one had to push or motivate her to take action.

3) Just Do It!

This is the biggest obstacle to success for most people. We are all born with unlimited potential and great ideas, but unfortunately, many people don’t experience success because they procrastinate and never get started.

Laziness is an obvious trap, but the pursuit of perfection is another common hurdle that trips up many people. They want everything to be the best and their pursuit of perfection leads to endless drafts, and nothing ever gets finished.

Instead…

Just Do It!

The most important thing is to just get something done… and you will get better and be “perfect” later on.

But perfection can never come if you never get the first version out!

Nancy’s website has gone through numerous changes, and it looks 10 times better than it did 2 months ago. But the site would not be where it is today if she did not learn from the mistakes she made in the prior versions. Personal growth and success is a process, but that process can never happen if you don’t get started.

so…

Just Do It!

4) Consistency

Even though Nancy has a super busy schedule and leads a huge team (Team Era) in her network marketing business, she makes the time to create consistent blog content on her website. It’s not a one-time show… instead, she works on it consistently. And the more she works on it, the better she gets.

Simple but consistent actions create success.

5) Implements and Takes Action Fast

The most impressive thing about Nancy is that every time I give her feedback, she takes immediate action and implements it in her website and blog. This is one of the reasons her blog and online marketing has improved dramatically in such a short period of time.

Is Nancy’s Website Good?

So is Nancy’s website, www.nancyon.com, a good site?

That question and answer is NOT IMPORTANT because “good” is all relative.

Some of you may say it is an awesome site… while some of you may say it’s not impressive.

But… that is NOT important.

What IS IMPORTANT is that Nancy took action, and each week her site gets better and better.

Her first blog posts 2 months ago were “good,” but if you look back today, you would say they are “not good” compared to her recent posts.

If you say her current website is “awesome,” then I guarantee you that 6 months from now the website will be even “more awesome” because Nancy puts in consistent effort, and she will continue to get better as she learns from the mistakes she makes.

And if you say her current website is “not impressive,” I can also guarantee you that it will be MUCH, MUCH better 6 months from now because consistent daily action backed by a desire to be better always produces positive results.
